My previous work as a features writer brought me into contact with people from many different walks of life. This eventually led me into the world of psychotherapy. Now I work with adults and young adults, in both long and short term therapy, in a variety of sectors including private, employee assistance programme (EAP), charity as well as the NHS.
As a psychotherapeutic counsellor I believe in developing a relationship that will help and support you gain a greater understanding of yourself, your feelings and the issues you may be facing.
I specialise in personal growth, life transitions and relationship issues.
I approach each client as a unique person, free from any labels or prejudgement. I work in an integrative way which means I can adapt therapeutic approaches to suit you and help you make sense of the way you feel.
I believe the most important part of any therapeutic work is developing a strong relationship based on mutual trust and collaboration.
From that we can begin together to explore your world, your feelings in the present, with an awareness of how the past may also be playing a role.
This will always be done at your own pace.
